The „APUSUL" SRL FUNERAL & UNDERTAKING COMPANY was founded in early 2000 with the aim of covering a segment that was almost non-existent at the time, namely complete services. At the time of founding, we had decades of experience behind us in services and in serving the public, so within a very short time our company became one of the leading in the city and even in Mureș county.
Always with a young and experienced team, with promptness, fairness and impeccable service, our company quickly became well known both at home and abroad. Over time we gained vast experience in funeral services — experience that still recommends us today.
We currently have 4 high-performance vehicles for domestic and international transport, as well as 3 limousines for special transports that require attention and respect. Our vehicles are fitted with refrigeration units that maintain an optimal temperature during transport. We have experienced drivers and, over the years, we have carried out many international transports to and from Hungary, Austria, Germany, Italy, Moldova and even Turkey, with the families having nothing but words of praise.
Our goal from the outset was to provide complete services, and we came to cover every branch of funeral services: domestic and international transport, the sale of coffins and accessories of all kinds, dressing-embalming and cosmetic care, burial and exhumation, wreaths, sprays and flower bouquets, the supply of bakery goods, as well as the brokering of burial plots.
We always keep a wide range of coffins in stock to satisfy all the tastes and requirements of our clients. Our contracts, both domestic and foreign, are directly with renowned manufacturers, without middlemen — allowing us to ensure the best prices on the market. For accessories, we offer a wide range of fittings, screws, crucifixes, handles, decorations and upholstery.
The wreaths, sprays and floral arrangements made by our company, at unbeatable prices, have helped us remain at the top in the area in this field. We are sought from everywhere for the beauty and variety of these arrangements, into which we put a lot of heart — and in town the wreaths we make are known as the „Apusul style".
We have employees and collaborators for funeral and burial services. At any time of year we provide grave digging, filling and arranging, as well as gathering remains to create additional space in the vault. For a funeral with no unpleasant incidents, turn to us with confidence. We also help with obtaining the permits needed for the exhumation and transport of remains to other localities or countries, as well as the permits for cremation.
We have a contract with a well-known local bakery and provide, at producer prices, all the traditional bakery goods needed for funerals according to Orthodox or Greek-Catholic rites: ritual breads and cakes, crosses, ladder-shaped breads and bread. The order is placed at the company's head office, and on the day of the funeral all the bakery goods, packed according to European hygiene standards, are delivered to the cemetery — taking one more burden off the grieving family's shoulders.
For keeping the deceased for a longer period — until the funeral day is settled or relatives arrive from abroad — we built an 8-compartment cold room that allows for optimal storage at 0°C. For those who wish to hold the wake at home, we offer mobile coolers that mount on the coffin and cool down to −10°C, as well as 2 freezer chests for longer-term preservation.
Apusul can take pride in being the first company in Târgu Mureș — and therefore in the county — to come up with the idea of working with the County Pension Office for the funeral benefit granted to pensioners. This means we provide and extend credit to the grieving family for everything needed (coffin, fittings, dressing, embalming, wreaths, sprays, transport, bakery goods, grave digging, etc.) until the benefit granted by the Romanian state through the Pension Office is received. We even handle obtaining the death certificate and compiling and submitting the documents. More than 90% of our clients choose this option — they don't have to touch their savings, paying only the difference that exceeds the benefit; and if the total amount does not exceed the benefit, the difference is returned on the spot.
